For most Brits' lifetimes, we have sung 'God Save The Queen' but for the first time since 1952, the National Anthem has changed to 'God Save The King'. After the passing of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, her eldest son Charles was proclaimed King Charles III with his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles becoming Queen Consort.
The reign of George VI from 1936-1952 was before most of us were born and The Queen's incredible 70-year reign that followed has been honoured with a full State Funeral on September 19, as an estimated 2 million people have flooded into London to pay their respects. King Charles has been warmly received by the country with many including the Archbishop of Canterbury praising him for his "immense courage" and his "clear heart of service" to the nation, following the death of his mother.
As the Queen’s State Funeral gets under way at 11am the doors to Westminster Abbey opened for guests to take their seats at least a couple of hours in advance. Around 2,000 people will attend the funeral with a further 800 paying their respects at a committal service. As Queen Elizabeth II's final journey from London to Windsor Castle heralds in a new era, here are the full words to our new National Anthem, including all six verses as King Charles III takes his place as Head of State.

Verse 1: God save our gracious King, long live our noble King, God save the King! Send him victorious, happy and glorious, long to reign over us, God save the King.
Verse 2: O Lord our God arise, scatter our* enemies, and make them fall! Confound their politics, frustrate their knavish tricks, on Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all.
Verse 3: Not in this land alone, but be God's mercies known, from shore to shore. Lord make the nations see, that men should brothers be, and form one family, the wide world over.
Verse 4: From every latent foe, from the assassins blow, God save the King. O'er his thine arm extend, For Britain's sake defend, our Father, prince, and friend, God save the King.
Verse 5: Thy choicest gifts in store, on him be pleased to pour, long may he reign. May he defend our laws, and ever give us cause, to sing with heart and voice, God save the King.
Verse 6: Lord grant that Marshal Wade, may by thy mighty aid, victory bring. May he sedition hush, and like a torrent rush, rebellious Scots to crush. God save the King!
Verse 6 is often omitted. It was added as a prayer for the success of Field Marshal George Wade's army, which was assembling at Newcastle in 1745 to defend against the Scottish Uprising, led by Bonnie Prince Charlie.
